Bilingual cards: Vietnamese & English

Updated: June 12, 20264 min read

Working with international clients? A Chabiti card supports two content versions - Vietnamese and English - on the same card: Vietnamese visitors read Vietnamese, foreign guests switch to English with one tap. This guide covers enabling and fine-tuning the bilingual feature.

How it works

Every content block on your card can carry two versions: Vietnamese and English. Once your card has English content, the public page automatically shows a language switch button: Visitors pick the version they want; you don't maintain two separate cards.

If a block has no translation yet, visitors on the English version see that block's original Vietnamese content - the card never shows up empty.

The fastest way: AI translation

  1. Finish your full Vietnamese content first.
  2. Open the Chabiti assistant and choose Translate to English: The AI translates and fills the second-language version of every block.
  3. Review the result: proper names, specialized titles, numbers - the final call is always yours. More in AI actions.

Editing each block manually

The block editor has two tabs, Vietnamese / English: Switch tabs to enter content per language. Useful when your English version shouldn't be a 1:1 translation (a tighter English bio, or skipping blocks only relevant to Vietnamese customers).

Two key settings in the Theme tab

  • Default language: What visitors see first when opening the card. A card used mainly internationally should default to English.
  • Allow language switching: On: visitors switch VI ↔ EN freely; off: the card locks to the default language and hides the switch button.

Tip: If your two audiences differ a lot (Vietnamese clients need Zalo + VietQR, international ones need LinkedIn + a booking link), consider duplicating your card into a dedicated international card instead of cramming everything into one bilingual card.
